Eastern Emergency Relief
Help when a crisis happens...The Eastern Emergency Relief Network (EERN) is for people who have experienced traumas or crisis in their lives and are in need of furniture and other household goods and food. A crisis such as loss of a home and belongings, domestic violence, or being refugees are the main reasons why people seek assistance from EERN.
Box Hill Central Rotary Club has been a long-term supporter of EERN and conducts an annual Gala Concert featuring the Navy Band with the majority of the proceeds going to EERN. The Club is grateful for the support of Whitehorse Council and the Royal Australian Navy Band for making the event a financial success. |

EERN operates out of a large factory in Mitcham which is used to store furniture and household goods for distribution to the needy. The goods are donated by residents in the eastern suburbs and collected using two small trucks and volunteer drivers. When funding permits EERN also provides food and basic living needs, if required, for the more serious situations. EERN works with local government agencies so that donations only go to those genuinely in need.
If you have furniture or household goods to donate please contact EERN on: (03) 9874 8433 between 9am – 1pm (weekdays only).
