I am delighted to share that our club has achieved two District Governor Awards for this Rotary year:
- District 9815 Governor’s Excellence Silver Award
- District 9815 Best Foundation Club Gold Award
These achievements belong to every member of our club. Please accept my sincere gratitude for your commitment, contributions, and support throughout the year. Together, we have demonstrated what can be achieved when we work with a shared purpose and vision.
This year has been personally challenging for me, with the unexpected loss of my mother at the beginning of the year and the events that followed. During this difficult time, I have been deeply touched by the care, kindness, and support shown by so many members. Your friendship has meant a great deal to me and has helped make this year both rewarding and memorable despite the challenges.
I am particularly proud that our Board and members took the time before the start of the year to realign our strategy and action plan. That preparation provided a clear direction and enabled us to work together effectively, turning our plans into reality step by step, even when faced with unexpected challenges along the way.
As we look ahead, I am excited about the journey to come under the leadership of President Elect Malcolm Chiverton. I am confident that our club will continue to grow, thrive, and make a meaningful impact in our community and beyond.
I would also like to acknowledge the success of our Rotary Information Night on Thursday May 28. Thank you to the organising committee and to all members who attended and supported the event. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and engagement.
I look forward to celebrating with you all at our Changeover Dinner on July 1 at the Committee Room Restaurant MCG and to welcoming another exciting Rotary year together. All friends invited.
