Refurbishing Wattle Hill Communal Fruit & Vegetable Garden
Members of the Club’s Environmental Sustainability committee and friends recently participated in another working bee at the communal garden in the Wattle Hill public housing complex in Burwood.
The members worked alongside residents and other community volunteers, refilling raised beds with fresh soil , weeding and pruning, and replanting.
This the third working bee conducted at the garden since late last year, with the aim refurbishing the garden after recent pandemic lockdowns, and getting more residents involved in growing their own fruit and vegetables.
