Following our Past President Bruce McEwen holiday visit to Hope Centre, Hatton Sri Lanka, and growing club links with Mukti Australia and their in-country partner Wings of Hope Lanka, the club contributed $3,220 for needed junior and senior eye wear in June 2025.
All 200 children at Hope Center were screened, and at the first of two camps resulted in 31 children and staff members provided with corrective lenses.
“This milestone marks more than the success of a long-standing effort—it marks a turning point in the lives of many children. For the first time, they can see the blackboard clearly, read without strain, and engage in their education with renewed confidence. The gift of vision has not only enhanced their daily learning experience, but also restored their hope for a brighter future.”
