For the past 3 years, Rotary and We Can’t Wait have supported the EWASH project in Ethiopia in partnership with International Needs Australia (INA) and their in-Country partner, Bole Bible Baptist Church Child Care and Community Development (BBBC).
On Wednesday 21st October, we will hear directly from Kebede Wolde-Giorgis, Executive Director of BBBC, about what the partnership is achieving.
Over the three years of the current program, Rotary has provided $130,000 (matched by INA through ANCP) for toilet blocks for schools, private latrines for households and community access to safe water. Additionally, $12,500 contributed improving local water access. Robyn and Tony Stokes were fortunate to be able to visit the project area with Kebede in late 2025.
Kebede Wolde-Giorgis leads BBBC, the local lead partner of INA, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a significant history of helping those most in need in Ethiopia, stretching back to the late 1960s.
