Building Raised Beds and Planting Out
Members of the Environmental Sustainability Committee actively support local groups that have an environmental sustainability focus. One such group is Strathdon House, where Rotarians, staff and other community volunteers assembled raised planter boxes for people who are wheelchair bound. Funds provided by the Rotary Club purchased four raised planter box kits, four side tables, four self-watering kits, and a cold frame. The raised garden beds are used for growing various fruits and vegetables.
