The board has authorised purchase of the enhanced Club Runner
“The Enhanced Committees module is a premium (add-on) module for clubs that gives you more functionality and structure to centralize committee and sub-committee listings, documents and emails. Foster communication within your committees by allowing members to share documents privately. Email members of your committee or sub- committees to keep all communication in one place.
Post documents and set their security levels to be visible by committee members only

An in-person Club Runner setup and assistance session will be offered date TBA.
Our Clean up Australia event is scheduled for 10am to 12 midday on Sunday 19 November @ Springfield Park, Cnr Dorking & Springfield Rds, Box Hill. Family members welcome.
This event is registered with Clean Up Australia (CUA) so that we can obtain an event pack which includes bags for recycling as well as landfill rubbish, gloves, a basic first aid kit and a sharps container. Council will pick up the landfill rubbish bags after the event.
The November board meeting authorized some International giving including $17,000 to Operation Cleft Australia and $17,000 to Operation Toilets Australia.
Our club remains very grateful for the efforts of our colleagues and friends at Rotary Recycle Op Shop who help facilitate these donations.

The Board approved the support with two year funding for the creation of a school garden in East Timor. The location of the garden to be identified by Spend It Well. Members will recall Nandi Gurr addressing the club last Rotary year.
Total funds committed is A$4,500 across two years. Learn more.
The two photos show an existing garden, and the children working in the garden to harvest the produce, and school lunch time where the produce of the garden is in the school lunch that is served.
These photos were taken at a school in the Balibo area which is about 2 hours drive, west of the capital Dili.
The Board approved the sponsorship of two secondary students, managed through I am Someone , for two years. Total funds committed are A$990.00 per year. Thankyou to Satellite club for this recommendation. Learn more from Diane & Tess.
The November Board agreed to donate $3,000 to the HDCS Earthquake Response & Recovery Plan, through their partner International Needs Australia. These funds when delivered through INA attract AusAid matching, considerably boosting our impact. The earthquake occurred on Nov 3 in Rukum, western Nepal. Operation Toilets has previously supported WASH in Schools in West Rukum Nepal with INA and their partner HDCS.
Our RCBHC board has set a target for our club of 5 business contacts by Christmas. Members are encouraged to talk to businesses regarding setting up a no-obligation conversation with Belonging Matters, for their clients who have intellectual disability and or autism through theCommunity Employment Program.

Our club has voted in the Inaugural Zone 8 Regional Council election, following input from members. Here are the results.
We were saddened to hear of the passing of member Geoff Limmer on Nov 4. Geoff was a charter member joining in 4/4/1990, served as President in 2009/10, District Conference Chair 2013/14. Geoff served on the ROMAC committee for eight years, and more recently deputy Chair and ambassador for Operation Cleft. Our sympathy to partner Anne Fuller and adult children Deane, Elaine, Michelle and Cheryl.
Geoff's funeral to celebrate his life will be held 11am Tuesday 21 November at Box Hill Golf Club. Donations in his honour accepted for Operation Cleft.
Dream Stitches is a not for profit sewing program, registered with ACNC, and run by a dedicated group of volunteers who teach migrant and refugee women a variety of sewing skills.
RCBHC supported Dream Stitches with a TRF District Grant in 2018 to purchase three sewing machines, after being alerted of the opportunity by former member Shane Hubner.
Club Community Director Malcolm Chiverton, attended the Dream Stitches 20 year anniversary on Oct 10 at Bishopscourt, Melbourne. He advises there is an urgent call for more suitable volunteers.
