The Satellite Group held our second annual Feast for Freedom on Saturday 12th of August at the beautiful home of member Debbie (& hubby Pete). The Feast campaign calls for people to gather and host their own Feast for Freedom in support of people seeking asylum, cooking recipes that have been gifted by refugees. Guests are asked to chip in and donate to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre for their meal.
Volunteering
with Friends

The Satellite Group members prepared delicious entrees, mains and desserts – many with a Persian flavour. The night was a wonderful chance to catch up with friends, share stories and a bonus was watching of the Matildas v France soccer match!
ASRC
Feast for Freedom

Our Feast for Freedom raised over $500 which will be donated to the ASRC. It’s also a drop off time for food items which go to the ASRC Foodbank. Keep an eye out for future call outs for items for the food drives – we regularly collect and deliver items.
